Academic success is something that is essential to every child’s growth. Many kids find that with some classes they seem to learn better or understand more. Some others seem to simply go right over their heads and much of the content in class becomes a blur later on. Determining your learning style can help you to score more in class and achieve your goals better. Each child has a certain learning style that is unique and making use of this can lead to superb results in kids.

When you want to make the most travelguidebook of a situation, work at achieving results based on the learning style that is most comfortable and useful to you. It is the best way to increase your potential as a student and also work on areas that require more attention. Basically there are three essential learning styles. Visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Visual learning constitutes for about 80% of the learning that occurs in various people. From birth a child is attuned to the world around them by sight and sound. Children who are visual learners will respond well to books. They will also love to learn based on pictures and different learning materials. Students who are comfortable with this style of learning will have a wonderful sense of imagination and creativity.

Another style of learning is auditory. In such children it is through sound that they gather all the information about the world around them. If a child is quite good at listening to instructions and sensitive to changes in spoken language then he or she is an auditory learner and would be most comfortable in gathering information through lectures and conversations. Memory capacity of auditory learners is better than visual learners and they even enjoy learning when listening to music.

A third category of learning is kinesthetic. These children love to tinker around and figure things out rather than waiting for information to be given to them. They are explorers at heart and love to learn things driven by their natural curiosity. They are often misunderstood to be undisciplined and difficult to manage. However to them the world is a huge play ground of sensations, sounds and sights to explore. These kids enjoy understanding and putting together various complex processes and procedures.
